Tata Motors is currently India’s leading EV maker in the passenger vehicle segment. The company recently unveiled the Tata Curvv coupe electric SUV and now within a month, it has unveiled the concept version of an all-new electric car in India today, i.e. on April 29, 2022.
The name is Avinya, Tata Avinya!
Yes,the company’s new EV concept has been christened Avinya, which means Innovation in the Sanskrit language. The all-new Tata Avinya SUV will be based on the company’s Gen 3 pure electric vehicle architecture.
Tata Sons Chairman shared a welcome note & Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, took the stage to share more details about the company’s new concept EV.
The company’s EV arm, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited , is planning to launch ten new electric cars in India over the next five years across different segments.
Ultra Fast charging : The new Tata Avinya EV is claimed to offer a minimum driving range of 500 km on a single charge. Moreover, it will be equipped with ultra-fast charging that claims to fully juice it up in under 30 minutes. The company’s philosophy for enhanced range would be ‘Minimize- Maximize – Optimize’.

In addition, the electrified versions of the Tata Harrier and Safari are expected to be one of the first models to be underpinned by this new EV platform. Tata Motors has recently announced its plans to launch ten new electric cars in India over the next five years across different segments.
