First look at the Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta, one of the most awaited products of the year, will be launched in the third week of July.
This will be Hyundai’s artillery in the compact SUV battlefield whose belligerents are the Renault Duster, the Ford Ecosport and the Nissan Terrano.
The Creta has the potential to do better than its competition because of the wider service network, more premium interiors and feature packed variants.
Hyundai will be launching this compact SUV with two diesel engines mainly a 1.4 litre and a 1.6 litre and a 1.6 litre petrol engine. Both the diesel engines will be paired to a six-speed manual gearbox while the 1.6 litre diesel engine will come with the option of an automatic gearbox. However, the 1.6 litre petrol will come only with a five-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai has revealed that the Creta will come with two most expensive trim levels which are the SX and the SX (O). The SX will be equipped with climate control air conditioning, parking sensors, reverse camera withdisplay on the rear view mirror, 16-inch alloy wheels and dual-tone theme for the seats and the dashboard. While the SX(O) trim will come with touchscreen infotainment system with display for the reverse camera, 17-inch alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, keyless entry and go with push button start.
Hyundai has not hinted on pricing but, one can expect it to be priced between 8.5-13 lakhs which is where its competitors are placed. Hyundai has high expectations from the Creta and from their recent products success, the Creta is well prepared to win the battle.
