Mitsubishi Mirage
Expected Launch Date:
Mar 2021
In India, Mistubishi is synonymous with the Pajero SUV. Some will also recall the Lancer sedan. Small wonder than that many might think the company is lying dormant. Truth however is, the Japanese company has been fairly active of late. Admittedly, the said activity has happened back home in Japan, but it does have significant implications for Mitsubishi’s plans for India.
Although the car was shown in concept form earlier (as a Global Small Car concept), now the Japanese car maker has revealed a production version on the eve of the Tokyo Motor Show.
The Mirage boasts very compact dimensions; at 3,710mmlong, it is just a shade longer than the hotselling Hyundai i10. This definitely ensures that it will qualify for the under 4m tax sops in India. However it is less wide than the Korean hatch, at 1,665mm.
