Yamaha FZ1
Among its best assets is the riding position, which is good enough to live with on a daily basis, upright and with only a mild lean into the flat handlebar. Our only grievance is the seat being inadequately padded for long-range rides, although this does not pose a problem when covering short distances.
The FZ1 handles with aplomb too. It may not be in the same league as the lighter Honda CB1000R, which does feel a generation superior, but the Yamaha still goes round corners with a neutral, confident air.
